hello.

I’m Carla and I am currently pursuing an MFA in Interaction Design at Cranbrook Academy of Art, where I also work as department assistant and international representative. I also recently graduated with a BS in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech. While working on my undergraduate senior thesis Soltic, I discovered a passion for lighting and interaction design. Through my work, I want to explore how light can influence and improve the way we experience and interact with our environments and routines, how an object can influence our perception of space and time. Outside of studio, I enjoy writing and digital art.
